Sorry I wasn’t clearer.
In this setup I am using analog inputs to Paris as if I was using it as a
live console from live audio.
Paris is set to 44.1. Clocked from the Mytek A/D converter.
Performer is set to 96K and clocked from my Mytek D/A converter. (This generation
of the Mytek is two separate boxes each with its own clock.).

Analog out of DP to analog in of Paris.
Insert hardware when needed between DP and Paris while still analog.
NO ADAT optical is used in this setup at all, so no deterioration from the
20bit transfers. (Actually I do use ADAT for interfacing to additional computers
but

I was originally resistant to going this route because of my desire to avoid
A/D conversions, but as I pointed out in my last post, I am not really doing
any additional conversions.

“You record in DP using your Myteks at 96khz, right ?”

Yes and it sounds great.

GeneLooks like the photo hanging on our local Outback steak House - only there

That's the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. I actually had to
gather the family around to appreciate that with me.

CLI would just track through the 24". Feed everything into it when you track,
then take the signal straight off the playback heads (not the sync heads)
and record that to your DAW as you track. Tape rapidly loses highs as the
particles reallign to their original positions. The best possible sound from
the tape is to immediately take it off the playback heads. You will have a
delay from them, but you can handle that easily enough. So you are
essentially using the tape as a processor.

e I got it.

It has very workable MIDI, though the top MIDI apps are certainly more
powerful in that area. They are steadily improving that.

I must say it sounds great. However I can't say whether other apps have
possibly caught up with it by now.

I have 2 gripes - it is sometimes hard to set up VSampler with multiple outs
and some of the menus are not as user-friendly as they could be. Also there
is not as much support for controllers as other apps have. It does support
HUI protocol.

Go ahead ask me what you want to know...

you do).

Will it accurately predict winning Powerball numbers?

:)Howdy.

I dont see the point in returning sound to paris. Summing on a good quality
console is the best way for sure.
