Hi, I'm sure this is a tired question but it never came up for me yet:

I've searched the thread on the Paris news group and wonder if anyone can
help.
A client had recorded an album on a Paris system 10 years ago and now wants
to
try and open the files and work in protools.

Is there anyway to open a Paris session in Protools?

Is there a way to convert .paf audio files to .wav 24bit / 44.1K

Is it possible to 'spot' the .paf audio files in protools

If my only choice is to find someone with a Paris system to do the conversion,
what should I expect to pay per song? (5min x 24 tracks)

thank you,

Jeff Carruthers

I responded to the message you sent to me earlier. Let me know if you didn't
get it.

Hi Jeff,

If there are a bunch of edits and overdubs in the Paris project you'll need
to bounce the tracks on a Paris system. If the tracks are contiguous raw
tracks you can use Peak or Soniqworx (I' a Mac dude - don't know what the
PC equivalents are) to convert from .paf to .wav. If you need help feel
free to email me.

Adobe, that bought Cool Edit, can do the same thing with the old CE PAF
filter in the map with Audition 1, 2 and 3.
