Yeah, saw that today as well. I only saw Peterson three times I think, and
all at an age where he was far from young. He was still a wizard, though.
Probably the best show was one at the Village Vanguard. Totally stunning
work, and his band was all guys I'd barely heard of. I think he really shown
when paired up with players who challenged him, his virtuosity and were so
incredible he was best when someone would make him stretch a little.

I'll toast a mug of Solstice Grog to him this evening,
