Hey guys. I got in the pieces to my new studio box (Athlon X2 3800+ aka
dual-core) and finally had a reason to put it all together and run Paris.

During my first recording session, I think I hit the typical problem of the
transport locking up. It reminded me of the same symptoms when the MIDI sync
channels were bogus. I'd hit play and the machine would pause for a second
or two, then go back to a stopped state. Restarting Paris would resolve it
for a short bit before it hit the issue again.

Anyway, I did a little research and found two boot switches, /onecpu and
/intaffinity. These make windows run in uniprocessor mode and force
interrupts to one processor, respectively.

Tonight I was trying these and I haven't hit the lockup yet, even exercising
the C16 rather aggressively (scrub while stopping, playing, etc.). No
guarantee of it now working as I didn't hit the problem the other night
until an hour into the recording session.

So I'm wondering, have other people with multi-proc / multi-core machines
tried these switches? If so, did they make any difference?
