Has anyone else tried using the PARIS compressor as a soft clipper?

I just set the attack and release to 0. Then, I set the ratio to a small value and adjust the threshold to set how much of the wave is soft-clipped.

To my ears, between 1.1 and 1.4, it sounds more like even order distortion, and above that the odd distortion picks up fast.

Once you have a distortion that you like, you can use the mix knob to blend to taste.
