Was playing around with the config settings I/O, disk cache
etc and have locked up Paris. It won't launch. I'm on Mac OS 9.2.2
I've assigned as much memory to it as I can from the Mac Finder
(get info) but still get out of memory when launching. It always
stalls at loading the VST plugins, even though I've removed them
to another drive, so they're not even loaded. I don't know how
this happened, disk cache is not set higher than allocated memory.

IIRC (hasn't happened for 5 years or more) I need to replace the
..cfg file. Of course, now I can't find my Paris install disc.
Anybody able to shoot me a .cfg file from thier install disc?

tedgerber@rogers.com

Thanks

Ted

Hi Ted,

I am no Mac guy but do you have a way of editing the
Config file outside of Paris? I believe there's a program
that should help you read and do the edits accordingly.
In Windows we edit with a simple text editor and save.

Sorry to hear this. Some very smart Mac person will
answer I'm sure.

Good luck,
Tom

Hi Tom-

Yes I have way of doing this. Good idea. I can't look right now
but I'd have to figure out what to edit. Probably obvious. In the
meantime Jeff Hoover has kindly sent me a .cfg file that I'll both use and
compare to.

thanks

Ted
