Hi all,
I finally had a moment to try out an old 442
interface I bought a couple of years ago and
it is not being recognized by Paris. I've tried
several configurations but no love. I tried it as
the only interface (unplugged the MEC) and tried
every single card (3 EDS cards) and still no joy.
When Paris "pings" the 442, all the lights flash
for a moment and then I get the error message
"...no interface detected by...
check cable connection..." the lights go out
and the sync light continues to flash.
Do you think that I have a bad 442 or do I need
to reinstall the Paris software (3.0) in order
to get my system to recognize the 442? What
else can I try before dumping this piece? Repair maybe?
Thanks so much for your time,
Chris

Hi Andy,
Yup, I tried both SCSI cables that I have and it still wont
work. It looks like Paris goes through the motions
of initializing the 442 but after the lights flash on and off it
doesn't get pass the error message. When I have the MEC
attached Paris launches but the 442 is nowhere to be
found in the patchbay window. :( I might try reinstalling
Paris but I don't know if that is that right way to go.
Anyone else have a suggestion or two?
Thanks,
Chris
