I am considering getting the API eq. Any comments on the quality of these
plugs and how resource hungry they are would be appreciated.

Thanks

nice sounding and somewhere between napoleon and bush as far as the
power hungry thing goes.

actually combining more than one of them on a channel can produce some
really nice q's. you might want to try the eliosound eq as well.

Hi uncle Ricky,

How do they compare with the UAD-1 plugins. If you don't use UAD-1 plugins,
I expect you to go out and buy a UAD card immediately so that you can do
this comparison for us. No whining.....just do it.

;o)

Oh....and of course, we expect you to do this on a Paris system so you will
need to get one if you don't have one handy.
Cool?

mine has been in arizona for several weeks now. once i got the new
mac (pci-e) it didn't fit so...bye bye. i just re added paris back to
the signal chain as a mix bus and am in the process of comparing it to
the soundcraft b200 sidecar.
for the last two weeks i've been "fixing" everything that has gone
down in the last few years since i dropped out of recording. scott
(the engineer renting the place) moved a lot of stuff including the
patchbay and several of the connections failed and others had a single
wire strand break and touch another contact that did really weird
shit. like gear would work until you patched two other pieces of gear
then the third would fail. anyhow, i've got the place back up to
snuff cuz i've got to record to bands who won some contest sponsored
by scotts business and some city near detroit.
i've pushed the recording back as far as possible so i can get my
chops back and not look as dumb as i do here.
