could it be there is a vertical sweet spot in the mic that is much smaller
than the cardiod patter is wide. Therefore by doing it the way you get a
better ballance of all the strings? Why is it you never see frequency response
for mics a few inches above and below the capsule?
Does anyone else do it this way?Quick is good, especially w/ dial-up. Thanks Kim.

daughter will listen to an
FM station whose carrier is dropping out and sounds really awful,
if she likes the tune. I think young people have such an intense
relationship with music that they are able to filter out an awful lot
of nasty artifacts that would drive us from the room.
Just a thought.

Did you look on the right side of the patchbay window and drag the Master,
the Mixer and the FX and Insert modules into the window?
If there's nothing on the right side of your patchbay window, then there's a
problem.......I'd guess the SCSI cable isn't hitting on all pins. Try
reseating it and rebooting.........which may solve the problem below
also........

This isn't normal. Assuming that your SCSI cable between the EDS card and
the MEC is OK/seated properly, the sync light should only flash when the
hardware is initializing. Go to your Paris project window and flip the sync
source from internal to another setting like Word clock, let it sit for
about 15 seconds, then switch it back to internal and see if the clock locks
up correctly.
The only other thought I have on this is that the XP drivers may not be
shaking hands with your hardware. It's been so long since I've used Paris
XP, that I think others here can probably be of more help in this area than
I could be.

my gear is safer. Bad because of what just happenned. I mean how often is
it going to trip? The UPS only lasts so long... maybe an hour. If the safety
switch trips you're out. I hope the safety switch isn't going to trip every
time there's a power outage or we're going to be going out all the time.
They were absolutely massive and very close thunderstorms last night though.

It might be worth flushing your DNS records. If you're on a Windows box,
go to a command/Dos Prompt and type "flushdns". Then try again.
And I know this is obvious, but check for typos. A few times I've had a comma
instead of a period, etc. Make sure the address is correct.
Let me know if you still can't make it tick. We do have one other person
who is having issues related to NNTP access that I'm yet to sort out. Nothing
should have changed though. We're running the exact same server and the exact
same router with no settings changed on either.

Craig MHm, I have been planing on a Shiny Box purchase.
My pal has a 121 and I was never as happy with it on guitar cabs as I thought
I should be, however, I heard 7 Nation Army by The WHite Stripes again and
that has to be a 121 and I love it! dang, I wanted a Chineese to get me close
as I can't afford the real deal.

Before you go nuts over a ribbon (of ANY nationality) on guitar
cabs, spend a hundred bucks & get an Audix i5.

to clarify
Stereo (L, R) from the mec is patched to outputs from the Paris A8ot module,
to the Furman stereo input
aux 5 from the mixer is patched to Mec output 1, which is patched to Furman
input 1
aux 6 to Mec output 2, into Furman input 2
aux 7 to Mec output 3, into furman input 3
aux 8 to Mec output 4, into Furman input 4
I can solo and not affect the cue mixes.
everybody gets a Mo me style mix. (assuming a max of 4 players plus engineer)
On the rare occasion I get 5 players I also patch stereo lines and auxes
5,6,7,8 into the Adat out, which goes lightpipe thur an adat, thru a Hosa
snake, into a tapco panjo mixer for a 5th Mo me mix. At that point I start
to get an inkling of what it's like to be DJ.

For about 110, take a look at the Sennheiser e 609 as well.
