Ok, I am producing some work right now that calls for something special.
My idead is getting a large group of people together for a background vocal
session. I am talking 15 or so.
Can someone explain to me the best way to set up speakers out of phase so
it cancels out the caranking basic track i want them to sing to? I think
I will need big cheepo home speakers to crank up loud and big..not an extra
pair of 6.5;s or whatever..how did they do this stuff?

I had a situation where I had to "stack" a 96 voice choir... I used
small PA boxes to direct the track at the choir and made sure the mics
were behind the speakers. I then phase inverted one pass to help
cancel some of the track leakage... worked great, and we didn't have
to buy 80 more headphones! :-)
