OK, now I haven't done this before. Nobody is under any obligation. Only
do this if you want to, and only donate what you want to.

However, it has become clear that my old UPS is getting cranky, or has got
cranky, and after all I did only spend $185, and she's a cheap Asian import,
and for whatever reason it doesn't like it's new home... and a number of
people expressed a desire to contribute... so...

On the newsgroup website, you will now find a new little donation button:

http://news.parisnewsgroup.com

As I said, there is no obligation. Do as you will. I'd buy it myself, but
I ran out of beer money in this pay and I don't want to do it again next
month. ;o) So since a few generous souls put forward a desire to donate,
I guess I'll allow it. ;o) I'll still put in whatever the gap is as required.
I'm doing my research into UPS at the moment. Hopefully we'll get a better
one than last time. If you donate too much I'll get a better one. We'll see
how we go.

The server itself seems to be fine still, other than the fan seems upset
and slow, but I have a new processor and fan which I will put in shortly,
maybe over the weekend... soon as I can find time to google info on PIII
slot I processors and changing them. ;o) The backup server also seems happy.
The system's all good except the UPS.

For those who didn't see the first post, the reason for the outages eventually
became clear when the server refused to run on the UPS power any longer.
and had to switch to mains, so we are currently without a UPS on the server,
which is no good of course. I get paid in a week, so I'll be buying one over
Easter weekend.

Hopefully my link works. Paypal said it would. ;o)

We have about a week until purchase date I expect.

Thanks in advance to anybody who donates.

Cheers,
Kim.
