And if one of my Paris buds wins it, I will throw in a NOS preamp tube.

Sylvania or Amperex, your choice.

Dang it Don,

For the life of me I just don't understand why you don't call me up and
offer these things to me for 1/3 the price before you put 'em on EBay.Same
thing happened with your KM84's and your 160's. What's up with that?

;o)

I have a great old friend who has had a very rough last few years. He's
always wanted a good electric (he is a world-class banjo player) but
could not raise the money. I gave him my Les Paul on "permanent loan"
(don't sell it but keep it as long as you want) and after a couple weeks
he
fell in love with it and wanted to own it. So he shows up with this Boogie
and wouldn't take no for an answer... We made the trade.

They actually don't go for a huge amount. I would be happy to get 1200.
I do need to get as much as I can though, or I would make you a deal...
(I've got a 5K check to write for the kid's tuition)

sorry!

And leave compromise swamp, the capital of the free world? Surely you jest
:-) I still say a series of deep dive blog entries on tone would be cool,
we can call it distance learning.

I've got more in the works.

I have a story on a new amp company (Byers) in one of the guitar
mags coming out in August.

At least that is when it is scheduled for...

best
