My alternate G4, which I use in the studio for Digital Performer and outside
the studio for the occasional remote, has died. Don't know what the problem
is. It might be a simple fix but if it costs more than $50 or so it might
make more sense to replace it. I'm thinking that it might finally be time
to try running Paris on a PC. Kerry tells me I can put a smokin' Paris PC
together for under $200. Can anyone steer me to which bits and pieces would
work? If I were to make this my main studio machine I have a Magma 13 slot
expansion chassis so PCI slots is not an issue. Also, anotgher BIG question
- How would I use my old Mac formatted drives w/ a PC system. Would I have
to somehow copy them all over to PC formatted drives? That's a bit daunting!
Thanks!
