>This is a huge story.
Supporters seem to be suggesting that it is politicaly dangerous to take
property this way, also the town officials are elected. That makes me feel
so much better.
In our town meetings they often tend to hold any important discussions to
the end of the night while making everyone sit through mundane issues. They
try to weed out objectors me thinx.

Small town politics (popularity contest) could really make this scary.
Really makes you want to do loads of work on the house.

I'm starting my own living dead studio.
I've got Opcode's Studio Vision Pro and PARIS.
I'm looking for one of those Korg OASYS Cards.
Do you still have that Opcode 64 XTC MIDI interface?
Do you want to part with it?

I would say that politicians on both sides of the aisle have abused
eminent domain. Don't forget that here in CT, our esteemed governor was
a hairsbreadth away from impeachment for corruption. Now he is is the
slammer where he belongs. I only wish that it was much sooner. There is a
strong element of corruption in Connecticut politics as in many other
states which knows no party boundries.
The supreme court ruling is a clear misinterpretation of the law. I have
to admit that I am somewhat baffled, but not overly surprised. There is
a big difference between public benefit and public use....
Whether you're liberal or conservative, we should be all over this
issue. I suggest that we all email our congressmen.
MikeHi Jeremy,

Yep, the old original one with the funky arm-style holder. it's absolutely
lovely on femme vox in cardioid and it's killer in a M/S configuration as
the *S* with fig8 pattern, and yeah, it's a very 3D sound.

It looks nice, but it's more than I need, and more importantly, more than I
can afford right now. I have discovered however, that if your Behringer
fader controller doesn't work, you can drop it and this fixes it. Maybe if I
had put it out in the pasture with my horses on Tuesday, they would have
fixed it much faster.

>This is truly ridiculous. I really doubt there are many democrats or
republicans heralding this decision. Like us, most are probably scratching
their heads wondering how we got into such a relativistic state of mind that
nothing is held as a "standard" or sacred - save the fad of the day, and
only for a day.

The interesting thing that shows relativism (i.e. no moral or ethical
standards from which to make decisions) - this decision was made under the
argument that the supreme court has no right to interfere when a city deems
a project best for the city (which of course is highly subjective,
speculative, and subject to a city counsel's personal opinions, preferences
or even stake in the project):

"The city has carefully formulated an economic development that it believes
will provide appreciable benefits to the community, including - but by no
means limited to - new jobs and increased tax revenue," Stevens wrote in an
opinion joined by Justice Anthony Kennedy, David H. Souter, Ruth Bader
Ginsburg and Stephen G. Breyer.

"It is not for the courts to oversee the choice of the boundary line nor to
sit in review on the size of a particular project area," he said.

Based on this, the supreme court is setting a precedent to only uphold an
individual, corporation, organization or local government's right to make
whatever decision they deem "right" within their own context. With no basis
for ethical decision making, a ruling like this leaves the door open for a
hierarchy of property ownership capability and wealth to supercede lesser
owners/property - e.g. if the city has a bigger project with more jobs than
your house/neighborhood accounts for, they can take it at will, and very
likely well below market value since the homeowners would have no basis for
refusal/counter offer. This almost sounds like we are returning to a caste
system. There is a reason "conservatives" shudder at the sight of decaying
moral and ethical values. It isn't about being "conservative" - it's about
keeping the boundaries that afford us the peace and well-being we've come to
enjoy, and take for granted.

Wormhole can automatically calculate latency and will report the latency
to ADC, resulting in automatically synchronized audio. It works cross platform
and has a unique method for use as an insert loop that you can call up as
if it was a local plugin. You can give the loop inserts names like “Altiverb-Putman-Chamber
on X-Serve”
I don’t have much e

>Hi,
I remember reading somewhere that it's possible to control one pc across
a network. I'd like to use a laptop to view the screen of my paris computer.
That way I can have the C16 and a silent laptop in the tracking room so I
can control the Paris PC in the control room remotely. All I need to be able
to see is the screen - I don't need to actually be able to control it (though
that might be a bonus), since the C16 will do everything (I'm hesistant to
use the c16 alone blind!). I know networking a Paris PC isn't ideal, but...

Thanks
DanIf you are running XP professional on the host computer, I believe this feature
is available. For $20. month, you can also acquire this function through
gotomypc.com, which will allow you to manipulate the host cursor, and theoretically
make changes in Paris. They have a free trial period.

Best regards,
Ben

you have a bunch of guitars from individual channels going through a group
channel.

the group channel feeds the master bus.

the group channel is peaking at say -5 db.

so..... the master bus is peaking at -5 db.

you turn the group channel down to -10 db.

so... the master bus now shows peaking at -10 db.

in PARIS.... ;
