has anybody an idea , why i cannot receive an answer/response from intdevices??
i wrote an email three times to Support@intdevices.com / support@emu.com
/ sales@intdevices.com .
but theres nothin coming in.(fuck pace/interlok)
perhaps one of you have the same challenge anD can give me a code.
my challenge code is : SLUT NOVA UGLY PITH LOAD FOOT BILL ACE KEPT LOCK SLIT

licenses, it is not possible to become a response/ code from anywhere???
where can i get the cracked 3.0 version??

I just got off the phone with Intelligent Devices. Turns out that he's only
doing challenge-response codes one day a week, so you might have to be
patient. I just sent an email myself and the woman I talked to on the phone
promised to pass a message along to him as well...

I really wonder why ID doesn't just make it a free download. I can't imagine
the revenue stream from 3.0 upgrades or purchases justifies even the time
spent doing the challenge-response thing.

In a perfect world they would GPL it, but I'm guessing that the are IP issues
with various other parties that prevent that even if ID wanted to, which
obviously they don't. But imagine PARIS being the basis for the first truly
great, truly free audio application. Wouldn't that be something?

This might start a thread longer than James telling Don that evolution had
been proven but only because of Apple, but I think ID did a pretty decent
job considering the number of times things went against them. They were competing
with Pro Tools, went through the Ensoniq collapse, reprised shortly thereafter
by the Emu collapse, were trying to sell a DSP system just as their target
market--high end home studio to very nice professional studio--was discovering
how good native apps could be, and finally SSC's health problems. A lot of
people would have stopped throwing the dice long before ID did after getting
snake eyes that many times in a row.

I _do_ think it's long overdue for them to release the software for free,
as there is (amazingly) still a bunch of PARIS users. Every time I drive
up to East Coast Morgan is shipping out yet another PARIS gadget. But I don't
think that makes them a bullshit company.

They used to be a good company. Now they have NO value for their customers
and only want more cash. Servicing challenge / responses once a week is
wrong. Charging for a dead product is wrong. Providing no support is wrong.
Other than that they are a fine company.
