Channel #1 in Paris doesn't work... The audio file is there, but that channel
in the computer seems to not be working and only with this song. If I drag
that audio file down to another channel, it will sound. Also if I drag any
audio file into channel #1, it simply will not sound. It's as if it were
muted (but it's not). Thoughts anyone?

Also-it only does it on card #1 (of the three I use)

Weird... do you perhaps have some external effect patched into
it or otherwise some routing variation going on that channel on
that particular EDS card?

Can you see the lights on the fader moving when the file is played?
Hmm, could the master EQ knob be all the way down for some reason?

Of course. No external effects, no EDS inserts, no plug-ins.

No, the leds in ch-1 do not go up while the song is playing. When I am in
the edit page and doble click on the wav, then I can hear it solo.

I just brought up a new song and imported all the files into it and now I'm
good. Thanks guys!

Basic question, but...

Are you looking at the Mixer window, or the Editor window, to be sure the
track
isn't muted? Often in the Editor, when I move a window round, the mute
(and solo) button will cease to display the "engaged" state (pressed down
& hilighted). I haven't seen this in the Mixer window, just the Editor.

Just a thought

Ted

I have a recurring problem with Ch1 in one of my default setups.
I go to the patchbay and repatch Ch1 and there it is. (WinXP)

Just because you don't see an effect doesn't mean there's not one in there
half hosed. Go through and add, then remove, any effect from every native
and eds slot on that channel.
