so i test the rig one last time and the frikken slots show up...i
still took it in. after nearly 3 years the people at the shop
remembered me and will replace the logic board anyway.

Is an independent dealer doing the replacement?

Are they going to pay you for the time it took to argue with them about
this..........let's say $60.00 per hour, just to be fair..........and if you
had to drive anywhere and they refused to accept the machine for repairs at
the time, are they going to pay your mileage (say.....$80.00 per mile) plus
the additional driving time (also at $60.00 per hour)? Are you going to have
to drive it back to Lansing or wherever now that they have agreed to do
this? From what I've seen on this board so far, I'd say they probably owe
you around $450.00 by now.

Wow, with that reasoning there are companies that owe me tens of thousands
of dollars! I wish I could cash in.

Me too!!!....and when they waste my time like this, I send them a bill. They
never pay it, but it gets their attention and I feel better for having made
my curmudgeonly disgruntledness known to them.
