Didn't like it much on the first couple of listens. Put it away for about
a month. I've been sitting here doing a bunch of office drugery all day,
listening to music and I'm nearing the end of it and about 20 minutes I
put the new Eagles CD on. I'm suddenly loving it. Very retro sometimes, very
new sometimes...slick production but still quintessential Eagles.

Waiting In The Weeds is a really stellar piece of work from just about every
angle I can see.

Go figure.

I agree with Waiting in the Weeds, really a nice song but the middle section
is a bit weird where Don Henley sings:

And now the Ferris Wheel has stopped,
You're swinging on the top, suspended there with him,
And he's the darling of the chic, playboy of the week,
The flavor of the week is melting down your pretty summer dress, baby what
a mess you're making.

Now on to the rest of the drivel:

No More Walks In The Wood
Not even a song, just some acapella stuff.

How Long
Sounds like an uninspired Eagles country song.

Busy Being Fabulous
Wish I cold delete it off the album and never hear it again. It's so gay.

What Do I Do with My Heart
I can hear Michael Bolton singing this. It's so "Girl your Everything" to
me. These are the Eagles, they don't need to beg for chicks ! It's so gay.

Guilty of the Crime
It's so gay. Jeez, now even Joe Walsh is lame. This song is so lame.
The chorus goes "I'm guilty of the crime of loving you baby". Oh god !
I also could not sing along to a chorus of "I want to dress in frilly dresses"
Though what rick and I do on the weekends is non of your business.

I Don't Want To Hear Any More
Nice Timothy B. Schmidt ballad if you didn't have so many gay songs around
it.

No More Cloudy Days
Bring on more gayness! Glen Frey serves it up with plenty of Baby Baby Baby.

Baby, I would never make you cry
I would never make you blue
I would never let you down
I would never be untrue........... Kill me now !

Fast Company
Great riff and groove, but correct me if I'm wrong...they don't have a freaking
horn section !!!! This ain't Eagles

Do Something
Yawn.......If it's raining and you need a nap, put this sleeper on! It’s
not over, No, it’s never too late ...or so the song says. Its seems over
and too late from here.

You Are Not Alone
Glen Frey sings a a solid 10 on the boredom scale on this one. It's so forgettable
it's amazing I remembered to review it here.

Long Road Out Of Eden
A very good song that sounds like a Kansas song. Really a nice song !

I Dreamed There Was No War
Sounds like a boring version of Alan Parsons and we don't need no instrumentals
to bore up the already boring album

Somebody
A song about somebody following you. Yawn. Fits the Eagles formula at least
in style but nothing sounds inspired, very formulaic.

Frail Grasp On The Big Picture
Political commentary that is pretty reserved so as not to offend anyone.
Good tune actually with nice solos. Bravo !

Last Good Time in Town
BEST SONG ON THE FREAKING ALBUM and it's a Joe Walsh song that he totally
owns. It has not place on an Eagles album.

I Love To Watch A Woman Dance
Kill me with the gayness! Hey I love ballads but this is so lame. I got
a great idea too....rhyme the damn words ! I'm gouging my ears out now.

Business As Usual
Really a boring Eagles song. At least it sounds like the Eagles, I'll give
them that.

Center Of The Universe
It's a nice ballad but the last thing this album needs is a ballad. It needs
balls. It's missing balls. Where are the .....uh, what are they again?

It's Your World Now
The Eagles salvo announcing that they give up. At least it sounds like they
are moving to Mexico when they quit. arghhh

Well, there it is.....Rock on.....oh wait there's no rock on this album.....Oh
well, I can't wait to hear the muzak versions !

Seriously though, the only songs worth a crap from best on down are:

Last Good Time in Town
Waiting in the weeds
Frail Grasp On The Big Picture
Long road out of eden

So, you got 4 whole songs worth playing ! Schweet !!!!! Double album,
2 songs per. nice !!

Listen to it over and over like I did. It's gay. I'm going back to greatest
hits despite the clipping on Already Gones guitar solo.

I'll skip the suggestion to listen to it over and over as I'm not into torture.
I'd choke on someone elses vomit before I'd endure Already Gone for the four
trillionth time. As for gay, do you mean senator at an airport urinal gay?
