....which I assume means...

....have one what? A paypal account? What do you mean "which one"? Are there
different types of paypal accounts? I thought you just got a paypal account
and that was it. ie. They're all the same. Or are you considering some kind
of paypal alternative?

What do you mean "which one"? Paypal is paypal far as I know. There's no
"which one?". Unless I'm missing something...

Cheers,
Kim.

I believe there are a couple kinds. Its been awhile but as I recall, one is
just for buying. The other includes selling as well - business account
which requires bank account verification. They are both free, except you
pay a commission when you sell.

Get the PERSONAL account and in your eaby posts say PAYPAL ONLY, NO
CREDIT CARDS.

If you get any other account they ding you a percent of your asking fee.
People with credit cards can get their own paypal account and pay the
percent and then transfer the correct amount to you.

They do have a limt though, I believe $500. With the Premiere or Business
accts, they are able to use CCs, a big issue for some, and don't have to
have a Paypal account. You can add the ding to the sales price.

Not with Premier - that's why I recommend it for anyone whose selling more
than the kids winter clothes on ebay. I'm not afraid of CCs... nice to be
able to take Discover, Amex, Visa, MC, eCheck, etc as debit or credit.

Yeah good point. I didn't realize the personal account was so close to
worthless. Looks like Paypal has monopoly on this. Is there an
alternative way to sell something for a price and not get dinged short
of having them mail a check and waiting till it clears?

Thanks,
John

Postal Money Order($1.25 per K). Cashier's check. I don't know of any
"instant pay" way w/o a ding - for over $500. amounts.
