Seriously, to take care of that problem, I'm muting tracks I don't need to
listen to. It takes more time but is working it out for me. You can also use
"Play selection" if you need to listen with effects etc.

took a look at the discussion group they talked
about in the piece and I have never heard so much misinformation...
There is one brave soul on that group trying to straighten out all
these poor volunteers who are trying to keep the pastor from the
same fate...
The one that got me was the discussion about how wireless wouldn't
solve the problem because you would still get shocked by the
battery. Oh and the one about how you would be ok with turning
off the phantom and using a dynamic...
arrggHHHHHH!!!
It's no wonder people get shocked. The worst danger I have ever
seen is the old 1950's guitar amps with a non-polarized 2-prong
power cord. You have a 50-50 chance, at any given time you
plug the amp in, of having 117 volts on your fingers....
You won't notice until you grab something that is grounded...
zzzZZZTTTTT
Not a very romantic way to die for your art...

I will not drop any third prongs from any cords at any time, and if I
see the client do it, I send the boss or head pastor a letter releasing
us from liability and warning them of possible results.
I love my church clients. Most of them are great people, but now
and then you get a real weenie...

and as I recall I did like the piano sound. There was so much noise in the
music store I really couldn't tell a whole lot - they were expensive.
Not sure what the VSTi is - software synth? - but I will search it out. My
JV is 13yrs old and I haven't heard any of the newer Roland stuff. I have
heard a lot about the Giga Piano. I dont have a sampler or any way right
now to play

I notice some when playing back in a 96kHz environment. Once the audio is
sample rate converted and dithered down to 44.1kHz/16bit, the difference is
hardly significant at all. Once this is further butchered to MP3, there is
no advantage to 96kHz recording, IMHO.

Do you have the onboard sound card disabled in the bios? If not, give it a
try.
