As an addendum to my post below would any one have a copy of the original XP
drivers they could send me.

In lieu of that does any one know if Mike's new drivers will work on an
older single core machine?

The XP drivers are at the parisfaqs site - http://www.parisfaqs.com/parisonxp.html - but Mike's drivers will work just fine, and better in some important ways. I installed them on my Athlon.

that's the page I was looking for...I'll also pony up for Mike's drivers
ASAP as I'm still going to upgrade this computer in the near future
