3 EDS cards, full compliment of other periphs including external firewire
and usb. I've begun to suspect my 400w PSU is operating marginally when a
moderate to big demand for power hits.

So... I'm thinking of getting a 500-600w unit.

I've had good luck with Enermax. Heard good on Sparkles. Taking
recommendations and thanks in advance.

PS. Quiet is also a pivotal factor for me.

Hey,
here are the ones we use and haven't had much trouble with.

The Antec Phantom 500w fan less.
Antec Neo 550w
Thermatake pure power 680 EPS

The last 2 have fans but seem to be very quiet.

I've got a Truepower also. I beleive the fan is thermo controlled from memory
(could be wrong), so if it doesn't need it it switches it off or down low...

Cheers,
Kim.
