I've managed to get everything together, but I can't for the life of me remember
how I transfer the PARIS 3.0 software license to another person - I seem
to remember this is a challenge response type arrangement? ID don't seem
to have anything on their site under 'pro audio', let alone anything to do
with paris!

I'm assuming the Skunkworks EDS plugs will work right out of the box, or
am I mistaken there too?

Thanks for any help

-Markus

Markus,

I believe you should have an EDS card that is associated
with your 3.0 purchase. ID should also have you in their
records. Just give them your name with EDS card serial #
and transfer to your purchaser's name. They will note the
person's name that you have sold to and give them codes
when they need them.

Skunkworks plugs are easy to install and should just work.

I think,
Tom

I may be wrong about the EDS Serial # business.

Tom / Markus,

I recently had to reload my 3.0 on a new hard drive when my system died.
I emailed ID support and reported to them the registration number on my 3.0
software, and also the serial number of one of my EDS cards, as well as the
name of the individual I had purchased the 3.0 and EDS from.

I also reported the challenge code that came up when I tried to load the
3.0. ID provided me with an appropriate answer to the challenge. ID got
back to me with that info within two or three business days, well within
the time frame that you can use PARIS without a challenge response.

In this limited regard ID is still providing support to PARIS registered
3.0 users. They were both timely and courteous to me.

Thanks.

Bob H.
