Hi all,
I bought a Paris system (Mac) when they first came out and used it quite
a bit. But it's been a few years now since I've used it and I recently dusted
it off and hooked it up again for small projects for myself.
I'm remembering or re-reading about most of the functions except I'm having
trouble with the mix down procedures.
So, when I mix down a few tracks to stereo I hit that "D" button on the main
mixer right? Then I have those two tracks I can drag around. There's something
about the Global or Submix here that I don't quite remember.
I have some old Waves processing I used to use. I used to then take that
mix and run Waves processing on it. I think I used to drag it back into the
Editor and use two tracks on the main mixer and do a stereo process. I believe
I had to click the stereo button on the Waves and the two tracks, side by
side, would then be processed in stereo (for maximizing or eq or etc.) It
didn't seem to work the other night though so I'm not sure.
I used Sonicworx to then import the files to then burn a CD. There were some
particular settings to be used (aiff, wav or ?) and the bit rate I believe
(44100, etc.).
Sorry about the length of this post. I would appreciate any assistance from
anybody who can tell me what the hell I used to do!!!
I always liked Paris and I'm amazed at how cheap the stuff is selling for
now.
Thanks a bunch,
Mike
