Yes, I have used it in the following configuration. "It's very easy and it doesn't take much to set it up".

I am using an Edirol MIDI UM-1 USB interface (single in and single out) of the PC that runs PARIS. Connect the MIDI OUT of the Edirol cable to a standalone PC with a MIDI Interface and sequencing software, to MIDI IN of course. In the PARIS MIDI Device Window, set the Edirol UM-1 OUTPUT to MTC. Set the sequencer software to receive MTC from external source. Make sure the sequencer is set to SLAVE to the incoming MTC. The sequencer PC will chase the PARIS (MASTER) PC once you press play on PARIS.

One last note is to make sure you set the Frame Rates the same. 29.97 fps is used when syncing with video. You have the option of running 30 fps if you are planning to record audio only.

I have used this configuration for a while, and it has been extremely reliable and easy.

Hope this helps,

Midi-Mouse

Thanks Midi-Mouse - I hope you don't mind, but you just made it into the PARISWiki for that clear and concise "how to" Very Happy
