I need to run it right around the room.

Can it go 10m?

It's a small room, what can I say? ;o)

Cheers,
Kim.

No simple answer to this Kim. I have a 10m SPDIF that works fine, but it depends
on the send unit, the receive unit, the quality of cable and to a lesser
degree, environmental noise. A 12M cable from Paris to my TC 6000 (through
a transformer to convert to AES) works fine, but if I move the same setup
to one of my RME cards it wont work at all. This cable is far more susceptible
to problems caused by running across power lines than any 3M SPDIF cable
I have. Best to just try it.

Fair enough.

The gear in question won't be here until next week, so it will have to wait.
It's probably not 10m in any case, so I imagine it should be ok...

Cheers,
Kim.

Doing surround in Digital??? ;-)

David.
10M is pushing it REALLY far for coax, on the edge for optical.
