I would appreciate recommendations on fairly cheap
$500 sound card that provides realtime monitoring and
spdif out that works in conjunction with PARIS.
Will be using Cubase with the sound card.

Thanks,

B

Hi Brandon,

RME HDSP9632 - this gives you stereo analog, stereo S/PDIF, plus ADAT 8
in/out that can also be configured as stereo S/PDIF. They have internal
expansion ports so you can add more analog I/O at a later stage.

http://www.rme-audio.com/english/hdsp/hdsp9632.htm

They go for around $900 here in Australia so I'm guessing the cost would be
about $500 in the US.

Cheers,
Stewart.

John do you have this card? It has mixed reviews.
What is your experience with it?

I have this card as an ancillary card, and it is fantastic, I think it's
warmer than my Delta 1010 that was 12 times the price.

Ok, guys I appreciate it.
I think I will give this one a shot.
No sense in spending $500 if it is not necessary.
Where did you see it for $75?
I can only find it for $99 on MF and Sweetwater.

THANKS,

B
