my only object for releasing this album (spirit of palo alto days), back then, was to experiment with what this newly developed independent artist making and selling your own music on the internet thing was all about, and how well it might work for me. as you will all too plainly and painfully hear, in certain sections, I was not in the least bit concerned with how well I played the composition! I just wanted to get it out there, for the experiment, and not spend a whole lot of time fixing things up, in order to do it--- every note of it (good and bad), was recorded directly to my paris rig, using the preamps and eq of an old tascam 424 mklll portastudio (if you can believe that!). I did NOT record it to the tape section of the portastudio first, and then play it into paris. it sounds like open reel to reel, because it's paris! enjoy the analog sound of it, if not the composition itself, or the playing of it---
