Man this is a nice EQ. It's got that *sounds like a record* kinda' vibe.
It's very easy to dial in comfortable familarity.

So, as someone who does not have either of the UAD Neve EQs, the big question
is "Do I need both?".

The 1081 is much more flexible and you could probably get by with it alone.
There's something about the shelving freq's on the 1073 though .....they
make it easy to nail certain source material very quickly without a bunch of
noodling around...and god forbid that we should have to noodle.

;o)

DJ, I have soem URS eqs 1073 and it sound great. I herd the UAD demos online,
and they sound similar. very close. I agree, Ilove what those neve 107x do
to a track..sweet..

I still have not purchased a UAD card. I know I know, I'll get one. But,
I have to admit, the native plugs are getting better and better..Like the
Waves SSL stuff..Very very good stuff and are the URS and for PT(LE & M)
teh McDSP Filter bank and Compressor bank nails those old relics pretty good.

That's why I have not gotten into the UAD stuff.
