Right now I've got them hooked up to a cheapo 50WPC Sony power amp until my
200 WPC Adcom gets here. It's driving them just fine at low levels (85dB
+-). They're not really pretty to listen to but neither is my ruler flat NHT
A-20/B-20 system and compared to the NHT system the NS10M's aren't
ridiculuously hyped sounding either. I can see why these are popular in mix
rooms. The mids are exposed like a perv with an open
trenchcoat.........really easy to discern and fix problems..........but
what's really amazing is how much better I can hear the ambience processing.
Even small adjustments are much more obvious on these than on my NHT's.
There is also the fact that these are more in a nearfield (5' equilat)
configuration whereas the NHT's are set up in a midfield (7.5' equilat).
These are going to be very useful. I like 'em.
;o)
