Something I stumbled on years ago and forgot about.

Setting record pat to WAV rather than PAF?

Wondering if anybody does this in PARIS Why or why not?
Sure makes exporting to another DAW easier

I think you can only record 24 bit when you're using .paf format? If that's not important to you WAV is a bit more friendly.

Viola! You're right - they are 16 bit. I didn't notice that the software jumps to the 16 bit setting.

If you want to work at 24 bit but PAF seems like a pain in the neck, consider adding Reaper to your workflow.

After installing, all you need to do is download and install the free libsndfile wrapper plugin that Matthias Kronlachner and Reaper user Xenakios wrote for us, and you'll be able to work with your 24 bit PAF files directly in Reaper and also export files as 24-bit PAF so you can fly them right back into your PARIS session.

It's revolutionized workflow for those of us that want to fly multiple tracks out for editing in a more up-to-date DAW like Reaper and fly them back into PARIS.

Hi Kerry, Thanks for your feedback. I have reaper but never used my PARIS files in it. I made the mistake of thinking that switching the record path to waves would include 24 bit. It was just something I had been wondering about.
