In November, I purchased a 7 piece drum mic kit for the office. I just got
thru mixing the first session that I tracked with them and I'm pretty
tickled. The company is Equation Audio. They're based in Nashville, and
from what I understand, it's the old design team from CAD that has started
this new company. Their products are US designed and Chinese made. Here's
the link:

http://equationaudio.com/Alpha/mtd.htm

And the sweet part of the deal... I picked them up from our local retailer
for $169.

Strait music where I bought my Beta52A a few days ago has about
5 drum mic kits on sale. CAD, Audio Technica, Shure, etc..
All for under $200. I was very tempted to get one.
I was like the ...the Beta52A was $170 by itself...Hmmm... I could get the
entire kit dor that much...,but they were lower grade mics and I wanted good
quality so I passed.
If I had another $200 to spend I would have got one of them.
Anyway Strait Music at 620 and 183...if you guys want to give 'em a call.
