it's pretty much a stay away OS on any audio forum for pro use. some
do not experience problems but a majority do. my experience is with
logic and not nuendo and out of the five people running 10.5 and logic
only one has it working without too many problems. the other 4 went
back to tiger. the problems are too numerous to list...once you can
even get logic to boot consistently.

Hi Rick,
We haven't seen those issues at all with logic so far.
We are installing them on fresh out of the box machines not ones that people have had a chance to screw up. :)
Nuendo has been working great on the leopard side from what I've seen or heard from our customers so far. That is also true for Logic.
I think allot of the people reporting issues with Logic are coming from Tiger to leopard upgrades and not fresh installs.
They also may have 3rd party plug ins, sound cards and other non audio apps already installed on the machine that may not like Logic.

I've had some issues installing Safari and OSX on top of existing software.
I totally agree with Chris, a clean install of OSX is the way to go!

he just did one on his quad and it's totally doa. the drive with
tiger on it works just fine. sadly his imac took a shit today but
that i think is from using that idrive (or whatever it's called) and
shutting down during the transfer. now booting takes 20 minutes.
personally i think it's trying to finish the upload while booting as
it says it's on line but if you try to boot safari it says it's unable
to connect to the server.
it's a good thing he's a doctor cuz i don't think he could make it any
where else. ;o)
