Hey, guys.

I was going to try to use Autotune on a few tracks for fun. Is there latency? And if so, what's my best trick for dealing with it, Sampleslide or Faderworks?

And MIke's plugins need some latency-compensating too, right?

depends which version you are using the newer one is...
Evo 1380 at 44.1 I think and 2660 for the full version.

Faderworks all the way.

Thanks....yeah I usually wait until all tracking is finished though as I find it a lot easier to remember what's on or off because if not and you overdub something with it on your new take will then need to be moved the amount faderworks has as its total because it deals with the whole mix. Works great though once you find the workflow and is the best thing for dealing with the no ADC in PARIS.

Happy to here I am not using pluggs when recording if needed i let the outboard gear take care of that. I will have a battle with faderworks an se if the UAD cards latency will be controlled that way.I tried with the demo version of Faderworks once but didnĀ“t get the amount of time to value it with UAD. If this install will work I post a how to from a dummie in the wiki.

The latency introduced by UAD card(s) will be noted by the UAD Meter software that comes with the card. I believe each system is different depending on computer specs, so the UAD meter app takes care of telling you how much latency there is on your own system.

Very handy.

Then you just enter that value into the right hand column of Faderworks PDC window. If you think you'll use more than one instance of UAD per channel, then just stack up a bunch of instances to select from. I had 3 or 4 of them and 3 or 4 Nebula. Rarely used them all, but they were there if I needed them.
