Looks like it might be time to upgrade from my Athlon 2.4GHZ
system... there's a place locally that I can grab a P4 3.4GHZ
CPU & an Asus Asroc-2 mobo for about $280 total. Price seems
reasonable, but I'm used to Athlons & their better performance
characteristics (at least based on anecdotal evidence from
users herein). Anyone see any problems with this possible
new configuration for Native (SX) use?
I'll probably just strip out the Gig of DDR RAM I have & use
that in the new board. Frostside bus speed should be faster
too, since the Epox KHA+ mobo I currently have is about 3 years
old now. Anyone see any downside to this conversion?
