Attention all computer geeks! ;-)

OK, my question is, when using AMD X2 dual core chips do you have to
run XP Pro to take full effect of the dual cores? I know Pro is
required for "Dual CPU's" but is it required for dual core "Single
CPU's"????? Our XP Home X2 machine shows the two cores in the Task
Manager....

Here endeth the question.

David.

Hi David,
NO XP Home works fine. It see it the same way it would see
hypertheading. Xp Home could alway use a 2 cpu machine. The difference
is that it isn't allowed to run on a 2 or more socket motherboard. The
X2 systems are single socket.
