Need some help with Paris stops when heavy graphics plugins !! [message #99239]

So,
I get many stops while playing back whenever a vst plugin with heavy gui
is loaded.
Any tips to recover ?
I use matrox 550 card.
Would a higher MB graphics card wok better ??

What is your Paris config settings? Have you tried uping the i/0 and cache
settings?

Hi,
As I remember I use 128mb
21000 cache
128 I/O

I think though that I tried higer I/O.

Yes.. A Better Grraphics card will yield better sytem performance in Paris.

Take the Waves SSL plugs.. You have to have a certain graqphics card performance,
or they won;t run well..

hey D, you are the man when it comes to Paris, so you probabably thought
of this, but do you close all your unused windows like that Audio window
and such? Sometimes I see jitter when when I don;t do this, and kI get an
occasional freeze.

Not to change subject, but D, can I hear some of your work?

What plugs do you refer to?

Hi Dimitrios,
I had Paris stop every time I used the Waves SSL GUI. There was an
update to the graphics card driver that stopped the problem. I think
there is information at Waves about this problem with many graphics
cards. Maybe this update will help other plugins too.

Regarding your questions all are positive !
Yes sample accuraccy there.
No pci extra just the synplate added to scope card.
Use ASIO2 protocol under cubase.
By starting Paris Cubase follows sample accurate.
Let me know if you need more detailed instructions as how to do this !
