Export to MID format out of ver2, import the MID file back into 4 (or
whatever program you want at that point).I don't see any way that could go
wrong, really. Same on audio tracks, render from zero, pull them back into
whatever version/program you want. You should, being an old Paris hat, be
used to how that works :)

Hey Aaron,
Ya, the data is only half the battle. It's the mix settings
with all the VSTi s that I'm also concerned about.

Any bad stuff using Cubase 4 ver 4.5.2 ?
I read a bunch of gotchyas and logged them.
Should I be worried?

Hi Tom,
You should treat the the VSTi like any instrument and bounce it down.
You can get Cubase SX 3 for free if you are a Cubase 4 user needing to bring in old projects.

Cubase SX 3 does a decent job of importing version 2 projects.
