There, that should be a sufficiently ominous subject line to
get your attention...

If you're running WinVista on anything, under NO circumstances
should you install (or allow it to be installed, via automatic
update) Vista Service Pack 1, just released this morning.

I'm typing this from my laptop, which now works properly, as it
did before installing Vista SP1... had to run System Restore to
get it there, since hardly anything worked after SP1 installed,
but you get the drift.
