I've read some posts here and in other newsgroups about people using only
outboard hardware instead of plugins. What's the feeling on this idea
lately.

My feeling is that both plugins and hardware have their place.

If noise is more important than sound quality, plugins are the way to go.
For music, outboard rules.

Just my 2 cents.

There are good and bad plugs and good and bad outboard. I love the UAD
plugs. The 1176 sounds just as good as my 1176 LN IMHO.

People just love to debate stuff.
