Hi Mike,

I really like Paris EQ for most things. Cambridge sounds sweeter to me across the board. Hi end is less strident and the low end isn't flabby like Paris'. Pultec Pro is a one or two trick pony for my use. It really has a sound of it's own.
Try boosting while cutting at the same time. That's when it's curves are most noticeable. I like it for aggressive Kk, toms and bass once in a blue moon too.

Paris EQ sounds really good in all of the above situations but doesn't always excel when compared to the best plugs imho. I agree that the UAD EQs need some getting used to to find their application. Check out the Fairchild sometime. Wild in how it can impart that Beatles slammed ride cymbal sound heard on some of their tunes. Character is what those guys are about.
