lly want that. I know them pretty well. They'll be back in
here wanting to do the songs again and they'll knock them out PDQ. I just
don't want to listen to a bunch of whiney crap about how they didn't like
the result they got in this studio and it's somehow my fault that they
didn't get good sounding takes so they shouldn't have to pay full rate.

Steelye Dan had a record label paying the bills to the studio. If I was
getting paid directly by a label and the musicians were bitching about the
$$$ to the label instead of to me, then for all I care, these guys could
pitch a tent in the back yard and have a slumber party on the clock.

;o)

minute in, then it starts drifting, 82 starts drifting too fast
almost instantly, 80 starts drifting too slow in the same
manner; i double it to 162 to get more precise "nudges", but
163 starts drifting too fast & 162 starts drifting too slow -
just takes longer to do it. Sorry, can't go up to 324, I tell
him, workstation won't go that high LOL He's not on a DAW, so
we can't exchange any kind of files directly.

I'm gonna have to program it from scratch by ear at 81 while
listening to his rhythm track on a regular CD player - uurgh.
Anyway, just griping... anyone else ever deal with this?

NeilYou'll need a DAW that allows you to set tempo in increments of 10ths or
100ths of a beat. Logi

Pull the wav, split it out to two PAF files.
Drop those in Paris. Get a basic tempo, which you have already done.
Cut them both in the editor s
