It appears that these are really just abbreviated ATA 33 cables. I've got a
bunch of these here. So I could just get a chainsaw and cut the width down
to the same number of rows of conductors of an EDS cable, I
assume.......but, the IDE cables have two connectors, on one end. Can I just
use the length of cable between any two of the connectors or do I need to
use the long cable run between the mobo conductor and the first drive
connector. If I can use the stretch of cable between any two connectors,
then I'm assuming it's OK to trim the remaining cable that is trailing after
the conductor.......maybe using a shaped charge to do this?
