I wonder if I have the plug-in open and hit the side of my monitor if I'll
get the big ol' King Tubby crash?

I'm seriously buying this tonight.

I thought you were being sarcastic in your header. What's the big deal? I
had one on the PA in a band I was in and they sounded cool for the time, but
what can it do that a nice DDL plug can't do (besides the tape distortion)?

Never had one, but I'm sure it's a cool effect, and I plan to load up the
UAD 4.2 demo this week.

IMHO, it is a bit funny that all the years we (at least I did) spent trying
to minimize noise with tape and in low fidelity outboard gear that just
didn't have the technical advances to be anything else, it's all become
vintage, sought after gear.

I guess I should have kept my Effectron II mono delay. It's probably a
classic. After all, clean stereo/surround delays are so 5 minutes ago. ;-)

PS - if anyone is really psyched about this new plugin, that's totally cool
- don't mean to knock it at all. Not everything creative has to come from
clean, expensive, cutting edge gear. I still want a Prophet 10, DX1, and
Memorymoog...just because.

Regards,
Dedric
