Hey Nappy, my colleagues around town tell me that they are in love (again)
with Logic.. And that, it's new workflow, editing, and even sound is much
improved.

Some are having driver issues (M-Audio). Take a look on www.gearslutz.com
they have forum thread just for Logic 8..

for the most part i'd say it's an improvement over the previous
version and will be better once the bugs (which vary on different
macs) are sorted out and fixed.

Improved workflow, upgraded plugins, (5.1 capable mostly, but also
added refinements) swipe comping (u can import a bunch of takes from Paris,
"pack" them into a comp folder to do the reductive-comp-creation thingy)
better GUI, lots of samples & instruments, heck their amp sim is not too
bad at all
(compared with Guitar Rig 2, which is supposed to be top of the heap)

And- a fantastic price.

My 2 cents CDN (which is currently more than your 2 cents US)

Ted

I know a lot of folks who use Logic, and I am happy for them that they
get to work on an improved program. I was not really in love with it
when I had to use it.
