so, being totally confused and unsure about this, after reading several conflicting things here on this site, concerning the subject, my plain and simple question is: win.7 pro, 64 bit, quad core: will paris work on this system or not?
also, while i'm at it, i might as well ask, is win.7 a better os for paris than xp, and why should I upgrade to it, if it is, as xp has worked pretty darn nicely for me--- but if win.7 would work even better, then I would certainly like to know about it, before buying a new computer---
any help with any and all of this, any answers at all, MOST APPRECIATED.
thanks so much, folks!
as always, yours most sincerely,
harry e.

Yes, PARIS works great on Win 7 x64, I've been running it now for over 3 years, on 3 different computers with 4 installs total. As to the upgrade, that's on your needs. If PARIS is not causing you any problems and your hardware is good, I would not upgrade, follow the rule of If it ain't broke, don't break it. At to the Win 7 vs. XP, I can say having had both for years, Mike's Win 7 drivers and Win 7 is so much easier to install and get working with only a few tweaks for DAW use. Win XP alway took work to get PARIS cooking.
Again, don't break a working system just for Win 7.... but when you do need to upgrade, the Win 7 installation is ready to rock.
