Actually, I meant Teleport - sorry, old age is killing me :( Its a =
DAW networking thing, where you can network several computers to work as =
one DAW, with say your host on one and VST instruments or FX on others, =
etc., with only a network interface. Sounds great if it works.

This bad boy is wireless to boot! I hope it

It does work very well (with Nuendo here). It runs over a normal LAN link
(Gigabit probably a good idea, but I¹m sure 100M would be enough). It loads
a Teleport app on each additional machine you specify (you can actually run
it as a time limited, fully functional demo). You just need .dlls for each
plugin you want to run on the servers. They show up as a regular VST plugin
on the host machine, but under an FX Teleport directory with an FX- (or
something like that) designation. It does take a little longer to load than
regular plugins as FXTeleport has to calculate the delay for each
(network/remote server roundtrip), but it does work very cool great way
to offload processing from your host machine. I don¹t know if it would work
with Paris though.

Dedric

No router needed just a bridge (³switch²). They aren¹t expensive usually
- $30-$40 or so for Gigabit (got mine for $20 after a rebate), $20 or so for
100Mb/s. Whether FX Teleport work with Paris or not, having a network is
really nice for porting files and sharing workload in general.

It does work =96 very well (with Nuendo here). It runs over a nor=
mal LAN link (Gigabit probably a good idea, but I=92m sure 100M would be=
enough). It loads a Teleport app on each additional machine you=
specify (you can actually run it as a time limited, fully functional =
demo). You just need .dlls for each plugin you want to run on th=
e servers. They show up as a regular VST plugin on the host mach=
ine, but under an FX Teleport directory with an FX- (or something like=
that) designation. It does take a little longer to load than re=
gular plugins as FXTeleport has to calculate the delay for each (netwo=
rk/remote server roundtrip), but it does work =96 very cool =96 great way to &nb=
sp;offload processing from your host machine. I don=92t know if it would=
work with Paris though.<BR>
