>>>Hey Folks,

I'm running into some trouble with this installation and
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm replacing my Yamaha CDR-W with a Memorex DVD recorder.
I swapped the two units following the instructions that came with the DVD
unit,
then fired up the PC. I was a little surprised that no driver installation
was happening
but I loaded a DVD and tried it anyway.

The PC crashed to the blue screen mentioned in the DVD manual.
OE..... bla bla VXD---
If I go to "my computer" no drives show up in the explorer page.

So I put the original CDR-W back in the PC - Same trouble now even with the
original drive.

Called tech support, swapped in all new ribbon
