I have 3 mecs and a Big Ben wordclock gernerator.
Anyone know the best way to set it up with my three MEC's.
Ive done the config file bit.
Where do I terminate. I tried the T plug with termination on one end. When
I load Paris up I get message to check leads to Master A. Termination off
it loads up.
can anyone help.

This is what was successful for me..worked every time, rock solid.

Clock outputs to MEC inputs

I used 75ohm terminator caps on the MEC Outputs-may not be necessary for
you, but it seemed to stabilize things for me.

Go to the Paris.exe file in the Paris directory in the EMU file and open
Paris from there. Set this project sync source to Word Clock with the sample
rate at 48KHz and save it under the name default project in the same
directory. You can also save it to your desktop to open Paris - NOTE: this
absolutely has to be set to 48KHZ for external clocking of Paris to work
reliably. It doesn't matter if your WC module stays at 44.1KHZ. If that's
what you use, then just leave it there.

Use a text editor and go to your your .cfg file in the Paris directory and
create a line that says UseHouseSync=1

Save this and close

Close the project and reboot the computer.

Launnch Paris and you should be good to go............and BTW "Always" turn
on your clock and any other modules you are interfacing with Paris before
you even boot the Paris machine. If not, Paris may not lock up properly so
you boot sequence should be ....

1. turn on Big Ben
2. turn on any other devices that are connected to BIG Ben and/or Paris
digital I/O
3. turn on MECs
4. boot computer
5. launch Paris default project

This worked reliably for me for years with 4 x MECs once I got it through my
thick skull that I absolutely had to set my default project to 48KHz. I
can't emphasize enough how important this is for Paris to lock to external
WC. Wierd, to be sure, but absolutely necessary.
