Mike and I had REAPER on PARIS ASIO running solidly on our 'puters way back
in the middle of the year :D

Hi Rich,
I made changes to the PSCL that allowed the original PARIS ASIO driver to
work with Reaper. the original ASIO has high latency, it only passes 16
bit audio, and you can only access the built in IO in the MEC or 442. But,
it works very well.
Matt Craig's ASIO driver has never worked well for me, and I don't have the
source code to fix it.
I'm planning to work on the driver to get more ins and outs, 24 bit audio
and lower latency. I'm not sure how much I can get the latency down, but
I'm going to do my best. I already made changes to the Scherzo driver to
facilitate lower latency.
All the best,
Mike

Hey James - it's PC only until/unless someone writes some code for the Mac
OSX side. It sounded *great*. If I recall, I only tested the main MEC I/O.
No C16 functionality, it was just the audio driver - but there's a developer
kit for REAPER that I'd imagine could conceivably permit that to be written.
I have no idea who might take on the OSX side; Doug Wellington made some
progress back in the day, and Mike sure seems to know Scherzo and PSCL
inside and out nowadays so there's a really good start there for someone
else. We need an OSX coding PARISian now. Know any?
2008 was fun, but I'm looking forward to 2009 very much.

I run it like that on dual 19" monitors on the Mac with no problem; in fact,
I've never *not* run it on duals. Why, have there been problems reported?

No problems, except for me.
I haven't been able to work out how to separate the windows yet, not that
I've spent a great amount of time working it out

Right click on mixer tab, bottom left hand corner and undock the mixer. It
floats wherever you want from there.

Sounds great Mike, so how many ins and outs are enabled with the ASIO driver
and Paris with Reaper? How is the 24 bit version coming? Good to hear this
great news.
Best,
Rich
